BDS Contracts (Milford Haven) Limited, was established in 1984, initially to carry out industrial painting contract works within the Petro-Chemical Refineries situated along the Milford Haven Estuary.

The Company has, over the years, increased and improved its’ capabilities of carrying out specialist activities within the industrial painting, high pressure water washing and tank cleaning industry.

BDS Limited is recognised as one of the leaders in the field of surface preparation using specialist techniques such as grit blasting, garnet medium blasting, vacuum blasting, wet blasting, blast track and ultra high water pressure systems. Coating application methods include airless spraying units, hydro-cat systems and brush/ roller.

The Company specialises in, and has successfully completed a large number of, contracts involving the preparation and application of specialist lining systems to tanks, etc.

Mr Brian Summons, is the Company’s Managing Director. Mr Arthur Phillips, Contracts Manager, is responsible for the commercial and contract organisational requirements. He is the company’s Quantity Surveyor. A Subsidiary of the Company B & A CONTRACTS LIMITED specialise in Industrial cleaning services including by means of high pressure water jet washing systems; Tank/ Vessel cleaning including product recovery by gully sucker/ vacuum tanker units; cleaning of bundle tubes, etc.; civil works such as land clearance, excavation works, concrete works, etc.; supply, testing and maintenance of air fed breathing apparatus and supply of labour and trained safety observers/ fire watchers.

Mr Alan Summons, Contracts Manager, is responsible for works carried out by this organisation. All contracts are carried out to Quality Assurance System with Method Statements, Risk Assessments, CoSHH Assessments and Quality Plans being prepared prior to the commencement of work.The Company is accredited to British Standards EN ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Systems.(Certificate number GB 9609).

The Company has an excellent record in respect of Health, Safety, Welfare and Industrial Relations matters.The Company is a member of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) – Membership number M40501072.

In 2004 the Organisation achieved the RoSPA Safety “Bronze Award” which in 2005 was upgraded to the “Silver Award” in respect of our safety systems and performance.
